About

Let me first say I am not a fan of “About” pages but they do lend some credibility and hopefully you can recognize some similarities in our lives.  This blog started because my previous careers in technology and education merged so I love researching and then sharing what I learned.

I am a firm believer in living the best life possible.  After all, life is short.  My worst fear is looking back over my life and regretting not appreciating all that this wonderful world has to offer.

I am also a firm believer in setting priorities.  Love and family are always first.  Mental and physical health are priorities (or you can’t love and take care of your family).  Curiosity about the world is another priority.  There is so much to learn!

Last, I believe in balance.  Living within my means but doing the most within those boundaries is important to me.  This blog is a result of balance.  I enjoy living a good lifestyle and am willing to research the best ways and take calculated (and well-researched) chances to make that happen (I spent my 54th birthday on an ATV in a rain forest in New Zealand and didn’t spend a penny on airfare!).

As a result, I have had opportunities to travel extensively with my family and friends, experience some incredible cultures, and form relationships with people all over the world along the way.  I have taken control of the health of myself and my family and found the best ways to make healthy food affordable.  I find myself reading and researching every day…there’s always something new to learn about.

I truly love to find ways for people to live the best life possible. I hope you find these blogs inspiring.  Please feel free to add comments or suggestions for future posts.
